Three Reasons Why I Choose Guitar

I have a guitar and I think this will be my main musical instrument also for the future.

In this case, I choose a guitar because there are some reasons that cause me to decide that this is my soulmate.

But, in this case, I have concluded that they are three main reasons why I choose classical guitar.

First - It's easy to bring everywhere I want

There is no doubt about the portability of guitar. We can bring guitars easily whenever and wherever we go.

It is different when we want to bring a piano or drum or harp. They are heavy and big, so it is very difficult to bring. Guitar? No problem to bring it anytime, anywhere.

I used to bring a guitar to my school where I taught (I taught English in the elementary school before). Yamaha CX40 is my guitar, enough for playing simple songs. I plan to buy another one which has active amplifier, if I have enough money for that ^_^.

Second - It’s polyphonic

Although it has only six strings, but from these strings, it can produce many tones, melodies at the same time.

We call it polyphonic.

It is not the same with harmonica which can only produce one single tone. It can produce more than one tone, but it is not quite good to listen to.

I can play classical songs with my guitar. Lucky for me, there are many scores provided in the internet right now, such as in blogs and YouTube, so the impact is I can study many kinds of songs that are easier for me to learn.

And, you can imagine that the way to play the guitar is such amazing things to do.

That’s why I am very confident to play guitar as my main musical instrument.

Third - Price range is affordable

It is also the unique thing about guitar. If we compare to piano, of course it is not the same to differ between ‘apple to apple’.

The price of piano is very expensive, millions, and maybe more than that.

But for getting a guitar, there are various prices for that. From hundred thousand rupiahs till millions. It is very easy for me to choose which one from those guitars is very suitable for me, especially based on my budget ^_^.

Right now I have a second hand guitar. Yamaha CX40. It is still in good condition. I am blessed with it. I can play it anytime I want to and the quality and playability are nice and wonderful.

Actually, there are many reasons in my mind, but these three reasons are the most that influence me to choose classical guitar rather than the other musical instrument.

Everybody has a right to have reasons that cause their decision to make.
